You are responsible for all damages to the motorcycle if it is your fault. Third-party offers coverage against claims for damages and losses incurred by a driver who is not the insured, and is therefore not covered under the insurance policy. The driver who caused damages is the third party.
If the damage is more than 1200€/2000€ (depends on the bike) you only pay up to this amount and the rest will be covered by the insurance company. You are responsible for damages costing up to this amount.
For each motorcycle, a 600€/1000€ (depending on models) deposit by debit or credit card is required before you will be allowed to go riding. This money will be returned when you return the bike without damage.
This is a common procedure in vehicle rental.
At the moment the motorcycle is delivered to the customer, the amount stipulated as a guarantee is blocked on the credit card. The blocking does not imply any payment, but it must be taken into account because it limits the credit available on the credit card used.
Upon return of the motorcycle, the amount is released immediately if there is no damage to the motorcycle. In case of any damage, the damages will be assessed according to the criteria explained at the time of rental, deducting this amount from the blocked amount.

Fines with immediate notification must be paid within a certain period of time to avoid a surcharge, normally you can pay directly to the police officer by credit card, if the payment must be made in another way (in cashier or city hall office, usually in Spanish).
