TF-24 La Esperanza to El Teide

TF-24 climbs 38 km from La Esperanza all the way up to the edge of Teide National Park, gaining 1,200 m of elevation. The story of this road is the landscape transition: tropical coastline at the bottom, Corona Forest ancient pines through the middle, and an otherworldly volcanic landscape at the top.

The signature experience is the mar de nubes — sea of clouds. On most days you climb through a cloud layer that sits over the north of the island, and emerge into clear blue sky and bright sun above 1,500 m. Below you, an ocean of white. Above, Teide.
